SPEAKER BIOS:
Steve Yatson, Smith Micro, Sr. Director, Productivity & Graphics, Consumer Division
Steve Yatson has more than fifteen years of experience in the graphics industry with a focus on 3D. Mr. Yatson currently oversees multiple product lines at Smith Micro Software Inc. A digital artist himself, Mr. Yatson has received numerous awards including the top Communication Arts award in Advertising 2009 as Art Director. His work has been featured in software applications, magazines, and product packaging, as well an many web sites.
Before joining Smith Micro Software Inc. Mr. Yatson was Vice President of Marketing at e Frontier America. Mr. Yatson received his BFA in Graphic Design from Masters Institute in San Jose California where he was also an instructor. He has authored and contributed to numerous publications including technical manuals, magazine articles, and most recently as a technical editor for The Official Anime Studio 7 guide from Cengage learning. He currently lives and works in Santa Cruz California with his wife and two sons where he is an avid runner and cyclist and a member of the 2010 U.S.A. Triathlon team.
Brian Sathianathan, Smith Micro, Head of Vidio Product Line
Mr. Sathianathan joined the company in March of 2009 and serves as head of the Vidio Platform at Smith Micro Software, Inc. He is the
unifying force behind Vidio's product strategy, vision and execution. Previously, Mr. Sathianathan served as the President of Avot Media,
Inc., which was acquired by Smith Micro Software in 2010. Under his leadership, Avot Media emerged as a strong player in the multimedia
industry. Prior to joining Avot Media, Inc., Mr. Sathianathan held executive management positions at Apple and was responsible for the
release of several revolutionary products. Mr. Sathianathan holds an M.B.A. in International Business from California State University, Hayward and an M.S. degree in Computer Science from California State University, Chico. Mr. Sathianathan is a multimedia industry expert and speaks frequently at industry forums.
Jeremy Aisenberg, Octagon, Vice President Strategic Initiatives Division.
Focused on developing strategies to leverage innovative technologies in the Sports and Entertainment vertical, Octagon Strategic Initiatives works with both technology companies and sports properties to maximize the value of emerging media for audiences, sponsors, rights holders and broadcasters. Jeremy joined Octagon, the sports marketing arm of Interpublic (IPG), in 2006, and has been responsible for a number of benchmark initiatives benefiting Octagon’s corporate and athlete clients alike, including Octagon’s live mobile broadcasting efforts. Jeremy received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from VCU and resides in Richmond, Virginia.
Robert Mayson, President, Consumer Electronics, RealD
Robert Mayson has been in the still and motion imaging business for nearly 40 years. In his role as President of the Consumer Electronics division Robert acts as division head, overseeing relationships with broadcast and consumer electronics brands worldwide and related technology offerings for 3D across TVs, computers, home theatres, gaming and eyewear. Robert joined RealD in 2008 as the managing director of RealD Europe, Ltd. where he headed the company’s European efforts including sales, customer service and operations. In 2009 he was named President of Consumer Electronics. Prior to RealD Robert spent 35 years with Kodak where he held multiple management positions across the Consumer Electronics, Consumer Imaging, Professional Imaging, Sales and Marketing divisions. Most recently, he managed Kodak's Global Digital Motion Imaging business.
Chris Chinnock, Insight Media, President
Chris is President of Insight Media, a market research, publishing and consulting firm focused on the emerging parts of the display industry including 3D, LED/Laser displays, e-paper/flexible displays, green display technolopgy and more. Mr. Chinnock is also the co-founder of the 3D @ Home Consortium, a 39-member organization dedicated to speeding the adoption of 3D in the home. In addition to the leadership and information services that Insight Media provides to the 3D @ Home Consortium, the firm is perhaps the leading source of information about the 3D industry. It offers a series of reports (3D Technology, 3DTV, Autostereoscopic 3D, 3D for Gaming (coming) and 3D for Mobile Applications (coming)), conferences (3D BizEx), news (Large Display Report and Mobile Display Report) and consulting services. A 20-year veteran of the display industry, Mr. Chinnock holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from the University of Colorado.
